Sri lanka students shine in stockholmSri lanka students shine in stockholm

Three students, from Harischandra College in the coastal town north of Colombo - Negombo, were in Stockholm last month, participating in the World Water Week celebrations.

RD Thakshila Siriwardena, Sandun Gayath Sameera Dissnayake and Madushan Silva brought honour to Sri Lanka, when they had the distinction of being adjudged runners up at the Stockholm Junior Water Prize competition. The award, given annually, for an outstanding water project by a young person or a small group of young people, is intended to inspire young people to continuously engage in water and environment related issues.

We at Sri Lanka Calling congratulate the winners and wish them continuing success in conserving water and the environment.
