Cinnamon Island Alidhoo in the Maldives, a resort managed by the John Keels Group Sri Lanka, was recognized for excellence in Education and Training with a PATA ‘Best of Show’ grand award, on September 19th, at the PATA Travel Mart 2008 Gold Awards ceremony, in Hyderabad India.The project titled ‘We cared and We shared’ was recognized by the judges with the citation “ A win-win training programme, initiated by the management to improve the local community’s livelihood while meeting its own manpower needs...”
The other grand award winners were Singapore Airlines in the marketing category; Delhi Tourism and Transport Development Corporation for Heritage and Nihiwatu Resort Indonesia for Environment .
