Lanka Sportreizen (LSR) established way back in 1989, to promote destination Sri Lanka as a location for the sport loving adventurous visitor, was spurred on, in their work on being recognized by the Professional Association for Diving Instructors (PADI) the world governing body of diving and underwater activities. PADI honoured LSR Diving Centre, as the first 5 Star Gold Palm Resort in Sri Lanka.Initially promoting diving; Lanka Sportreizen has expanded its portfolio of adventure activities to include windsurfing, mountain biking, hiking, tracking, canoeing, kayaking, water skiing and camping sports and adventure activities, for which Sri Lanka is sought by the sporty tourist.
