In the wilds of Sri Lanka, Austin Stevens, went on foot, in search of the subjects of his desire – the majestic Sri Lankan elephants.Filming a documentary on elephants, for the Discovery and Animal Planet TV channels, Stevens’ encounters in Sri Lanka, were not limited to filming of the mammoth mammals, but went beyond to reptiles and other flora and fauna, with a daring meeting with a five foot cobra being among high points of the tour.
