The annual feast of Madhu was celebrated by the Mannar diocese with Bishop Rayappu Joseph officiating with the participation of the Bishops of Anuradhapura ( North Central province) and Galle (Southern province) in attendance. Over one hundred priests and nuns, and around 25, 000 families of pilgrims from all parts of the country congregated in one place in a celebration of unity of peoples of varying ethnicities, united in one faith.
