The CEGA is made up of 13 Eco – Guide Members and was formed during a community based eco tourism project implemented by the Institute for International Economic Corporation in partnership with the Sewalanka Foundation. 13 Tour Guides from the eastern coastal town of Arugam Bay were trained in a special “Train the Trainer” programme. The Sri Lanka Tourist Board licensed them as Area Guides- specializing in eco tourism and community based tourism.

Community Based Eco Guides Association to Cober East Cost
